After several lawmakers gave emotional accounts of seeing the heartbeats of their children in ultrasounds, the Kentucky Senate gave final approval and sent to Gov. Matt Bevin a controversial anti-abortion bill on Monday. Bevin, who is strongly against abortion, said he will sign into law Senate Bill 4, the so-called “informed consent” bill. It is the first bill legislators have sent to him this session. ---Lexington Herald-Leader * * * Gov. Matt Bevin Monday announced Precision Strip Inc., a metals processor for various industries, will build a second Kentucky facility with an estimated $15.5 million investment projected to add 15 new full-time positions. Precision Strip processes, stores and delivers steel and aluminum for several markets, including the automotive, appliance, industrial products and beverage-can industries. ---KY Press News Service
